Privacy Policy

Aura is a daily inspiration app made by Tulip Tech AB ("we", "us"). Aura draws you a daily card and lets you ask Aura a question for a short reflective answer. This policy explains what data the app handles and, just as importantly, what it doesn't.

The short version

Aura has no account system, no backend server, and no analytics or tracking. It doesn't send any data anywhere. Everything the app knows about you stays on your device.

Information stored on your device

During onboarding, Aura asks for:

• Your first name
• Your star sign

This information is used only to personalize the greeting and content shown in the app. Aura also stores a small amount of app state on your device — which day's card you've drawn, the daily quote shown, and how many free questions you've asked today — so the app works correctly and your home-screen widget can display the right card.

All of this is stored locally in a shared container on your device (so the Aura widget can read it too) using Apple's standard UserDefaults storage. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party. We don't have servers, so we never receive or see this information ourselves.

Ask Aura

When you ask Aura a question, the app selects a reflective response from a built-in set of answers directly on your device. Your question is not sent to us, to any AI provider, or to any other third party — there is no server involved at all.

Subscriptions and payments

Aura Pro subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit. Your payment details are managed by your Apple ID and processed by Apple — we never see or store your payment information. Aura checks your subscription status on-device using Apple's systems; we don't operate any billing servers of our own.

Analytics, tracking, and third parties

Aura does not use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, crash-reporting tools, or any other third-party services. The app does not access your camera, microphone, photos, contacts, calendar, health data, or location, and it does not track you across apps or websites.

Children's privacy

Aura does not knowingly collect any information from children, and since the app collects no data beyond what's stored locally on your own device, there is no information for us to gather from anyone, regardless of age.

Deleting your data

Because everything Aura stores lives only on your device, deleting the app deletes all of it. There's no account to close and no server-side copy to remove.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
